Life Story Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro
Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, or better known as Cristiano Ronaldo, was born on February 5, 1985 in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal. He was the fourth child of five siblings and grew up in a poor environment. Ronaldo's father, Jose Dinis Aveiro, is a carpenter and his mother, Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, is a shop assistant.
Ronaldo started playing football at a young age and joined the Andorinha club in Funchal at the age of 8. He joined the youth football club Nacional at the age of 10. At the age of 12, Ronaldo was accepted into Sporting Lisbon's football academy and moved to Lisbon with his family. Ronaldo made his debut for Sporting Lisbon at the age of 17 in 2002. He achieved great success at Sporting Lisbon and caught the eye of the biggest European clubs. In the summer of 2003, Ronaldo joined the English Premier League club Manchester United in a £12.24million transfer.
At Manchester United, Ronaldo achieved great success and became one of the best players in the world. He helped the club win three Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup. Ronaldo also won three Ballon d'Or (world's best award) this season. In 2009, Ronaldo joined the Spanish club Real Madrid for 94 million euros, which at the time was the most expensive transfer in football history. At Real Madrid, Ronaldo became one of the best players in the world and won many honors, including four UEFA Champions League and four Ballon d'Or titles.
In 2018, Ronaldo joined Juventus club Juventus in a €100m transfer. At Juventus, Ronaldo won three Serie A titles in a row but decided to return to Manchester United in the summer of 2021.
Apart from club success, Ronaldo has had great success at the national team level. He is Portugal's top goalscorer and led the team to the UEFA European Cup in 2016.
As of 2020, Cristiano Ronaldo is still playing for Juventus. He managed to lead the club to win the Italian Serie A title for the 9th time in a row. Ronaldo was also Juventus' top scorer that year with 31 goals in 33 games. In the 2020/2021 season, Ronaldo returned to defend Juventus and had great success in the game. He scored 29 goals in 33 Serie A games and helped the club win the Coppa Italia title. However, Juventus managed to finish 4th in the final standings of Serie A, so they did not qualify for next season's Champions League.
In the summer of 2021, Ronaldo returned to Manchester United after leaving the club in 2009. Ronaldo's move to Manchester United was worth £12.9m. Ronaldo immediately impressed at the start of the season, scoring a number of important goals and helping Manchester United to the top of the Premier League table. At the national team level, Ronaldo continues to be the main player in Portugal. He managed to lead the Portugal national team to the UEFA Nations League in 2019 and impressed at Euro 2020 by scoring five goals in four matches. However, Portugal had to go out in the Round of 16 after they lost to Belgium.
In early 2022, Ronaldo scored his 800th career club goal as Manchester United beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0. He went on to become a key player for Manchester United and Portugal and was one of the best players in the world from 2020-23.
Outside of football, Ronaldo is also involved in charity work and owns various businesses including clothing brands, restaurants and manufacturing companies. He also founded his own charity, the Cristiano Ronaldo Foundation, which helps children and young people.
Ronaldo is considered one of the best players in the history of football and has won many awards and honors all over the world. He won five Ballon d'Or, three Premier League Cups, four UEFA Champions Leagues and four World Cups.
